Well, nothing great has happened with the Durango yet. Turns out it wasn't the clutch but the transmission that went out again. My uncle has been arguing with the place that I bought the first tranny from to see if they were gonna honor the 101 day warranty: turns out they're not. I just got off the phone with my uncle who said that they won't (the reasons he gave sound like a bunch of B.S. to me but what can I do?) so that means I have to shell out some more dough for another one. This really sucks. For the last 2 weeks I've had to rent a car for $33 a day which has been a big pain in my butt and my wallet, but at least I've had reliable transportation to do my business deliveries & get my kids to and from school. I never should've bought this freakin thing & just held onto my money until a Toyota came along like I really wanted. When I get the dang thing back from my uncle I plan on getting rid of it, either by selling it or donating it to charity (for the tax write-off I'd get for my business).
Really though, I would feel bad pawning this "problem" off on someone else. God, please hurry and bless me with my new, white LandCruiser.
On the lighter side of things, me & my boys are in NYC right now as I type, on a lil vacation. My cousin's getting married and it's also my oldest sons birthday so we're here enjoying ourselves for a few days. My best friend will be joining us tomorrow...and I can't wait! I haven't seen her in about a year and a half, so we're gonna have fun together hanging out this weekend.
Me & the boys hung out in Central Park for several hours today, going on a horse carriage ride, a bike tour and watching a breakdancing group - the NYC Transformers - perform. They're actually really good. But the crowd wasn't showin no love so they cut they're performance short. I took the boys to Toys R Us in Times Square and boy, that place was crazy! This whole city is crazy period! Way different from what us laid back Alaskans are used to. The crowds, the traffic, the noise...It's a fun place to visit for a few days but I'd never wanna live here. Especially the traffic man - my cousin lives in New Jersey and owns 2 vehicles, but still has to take the bus everyday to work in Manhattan. Ain't that crazy? Not for me.
Well, I'm gonna sign off for now. Hope you all find my blog interesting. Comment if you do, or even if you don't.
